Here is our proposal

Cinda Johnson is a special education professor. Her daughter Linea is a college student and musician. They share a powerful story of Linea’s journey through a crushing depression, manic episodes, suicide attempts, hospitalizations, and diagnosis of bipolar disorder. They give voice to this struggle and provide resources, suggestions, and hope for the millions of young people with mental health conditions.

Dr. Johnson’s research on the post-school outcomes of youth with emotional and behavioral disorders and Linea’s experiences take on deeper meaning and commitment in helping young people find their own voice as they transition from high school to community settings.

We were excited to receive this email from a participant and new friend

"Linea, it was such a pleasure to meet you and your mom last week and to hear your inspirational story. You are so courageous, not only in conquering your own trials, but in sending out a message of hope for all of us. Everyone is dealing with a personal struggle of some kind. To see you triumph over yours brings a sense of confidence and optimism that is very powerful."
~ Frank Fecser, PhD, CEO of Positive Education Program (www.pepcleve.org) and Vice President of the Life Space Crisis Intervention Institute (www.lsci.org).

We are available to speak to groups about our story. Contact us if you would like more information.
